This Advent Calendar was sewn and quilted(by hand) in 1980. My sister Donna and a friend were asked to make an Advent Calender for the Relief Society Building and this was their design. She used Moir'e and Velvet and Lace for that Calendar and Then she made one similar to this one for her home. I had to have one so voila! We have little wooden ornaments in the pockets that we used to wrap and each day we would read a Christmas story @ Bedtime and then open one ornament. A great tradition but alas who is home and ready for a story anymore?
This little mini quilt was made by My sister Donna as a gift. I pull it out every year!
